![]() Topic: cherry shrimpPosted: 30 June 2009 at 12:05pm |

i have just recieved 10 red cherry shrimp that i purchased on line. i already had 2 of these little guys and wanted a large group.
aww they are so small. some are even transparent.
so the questionis how quickly (or slowly) do they grow?
my original 2 are about 2 cm and really prominent red.
if they are likely to breed how far into the future should i expect that to be?
thanks in advance guys

inverts grow quite quickly and are sexually mature early too at around 4-5 months old. Red chery shrimp are some of the easiest shrimps to breed so good luck with that.

I think you will find that the heat pack will run out of heat after around 48 hours Fran as long as they are not prolific breeders i should be ok though i don't know if they give birth to live shrimp or lay eggs, or how many they can have at one time! i should have done my homework before i bought them i suppose
