ive just cleaned and added some more filter media to my fluval 305 filter and i noticed about 15 small black snails what is the best line of attack in removing them .

Personally I just take them out one at a time. It's a long process but I just take them out when I see them :-)

It really depends on what snails they are.  Mots snails are beneficial to a tank, they form part of the scavenging crew in a tank.  How big are they and what shape would you say the are.

Google malaysian trumpet snail, ramshorn snail and pond snail to see if they look anything like them

http://www.screwcumber.co.uk and fresh cucumber every night at lights out.  Remove the cucmber the next day with the critters on and repeat as necessary.
Combine that with manual harvesting!
 
Oh, and cut down on the tank feeding - once every other day tops and small amounts at that - as the snails thrive in an over fed or well fed tank.  The fish will be fine with that.  I feed all my tanks (barring the marines) every 2 days or so.

they were small round and black i havent noticed them in the tank only in filter i feed once a day and the food is gone in seconds
